What do you do?

I help business owners convert more of their readers into customers using direct response copywriting. My approach is a little different to a lot of ‘copywriters’ who should really be calling themselves content writers or copy editors. I know how to write copy that gets a reader to take action. Whether its to sign up to a list, pick up the phone, or purchase a product. I don’t write blogs, do keyword optimisation, or ‘spice up’ your existing content.

How can you help me?

I specialise in writing direct response copy for online businesses. If you have a newly designed or underperforming website or ad campaign I can help you increase your revenue and profits by writing or optimising your advertising and marketing material. How are you different from other copywriters?

There’s a lot of different copywriters out there. Here is a short list of what makes my approach to copywriting unique:

  • Direct Response Copywriting: I understand the difference between having a reader ‘passively’ enjoy your copywriting, and compelling them to take action.
  • Digital Marketing Native: I know what digital channels and tools work best and where so you don’t have to keep up with the endless changes in internet marketing technology.
  • I’m Cost Effective: I didn’t say cheap, but you’ll make many times over what you pay if we decide to work together (and I don’t work with clients I can’t help).
  • Focus On Conversion: My goal is to drive bottom line results to your business such as revenue and profits, not just arbitrary figures like social likes or shares.

Why do you focus on Direct Response Copywriting?

Don’t get me wrong, I love creative advertising. But most small business owners don’t have hundreds of thousands of dollars to pour down the drain on a ‘branding’ campaign that may or (more likely) may not even see results. They need measurable results and return on investment to survive and grow their business.

What kind of clients do you work with?

I tend to work with information and service-based businesses. My favourites are in the Health, Financial, Marketing, and Survival industries. But if you have a hungry customer and a product or service that can genuinely help them then I’d love to work with you.

Where are your clients based?

My clients come from all over Australia, as well as the USA, Canada, and more. I deal with clients via phone, Skype, and email so distance is usually no barrier. I can meet in person for large projects if needed, but I usually find emails and Skype work well.

How much do your services cost?

I don’t have a set hourly rate, and I don’t charge by the word etc. Projects are usually agreed to on a ‘project cost’ basis. This ensures everyone knows what they’re getting and there are no nasty surprises for either of us during the process.

I’m not the cheapest nor the most expensive in town but I do represent fantastic value for money. If you would like a no-obligation estimate on your project you should get in contact.

Your solution costs $X. I know someone who can do it for half $X.

Copywriting is a highly diverse industry with varying levels of service, skill, and price.

The service I provide is highly sophisticated and highly customised. Most copywriting is severely sub-optimal, uncompelling, and does not drive the reader to take action.

If we decide to work together, you’ll find me extremely cost-effective with the results you get.

Will your methods interfere with what I’m currently doing?

My work is designed to complement or improve what you are already doing. I’ll give you my honest opinion if I think I can improve on the results that you are currently getting, no BS.

Do you tend to work with existing businesses or startups?

I have a strong bias for working with existing businesses, as opposed to startups. Businesses that are already investing in online marketing activities, have already achieved some level of traction and are looking for more.

I’ll work with new businesses if you have a solid understanding of your customer and have tested the market. I won’t work with businesses who can’t explain what they do or who their customer is.

How long will my copywriting project take?

This varies by project and my availability at the time you engage me. It’s best to get in contact with me when you are looking to start your project and we can agree on an estimated kick-off date and deadline.

Am I allowed to make revisions?

Absolutely. I’ll provide you with two rounds of revisions once a draft is submitted, which you are welcome to comment on and amend. After that, I’ll continue to work at an hourly rate.

What does your price include?

My price also includes any extra research conducted on my behalf, consulting throughout the process, catch up calls and email communication, and revisions.

I’ll break down the costs in your quote so everything is crystal clear before we begin.

Do you require a deposit first?

Projects over $1,000 require a 50% deposit before work will begin. The second half of payment is due upon acceptance of final revisions.

Projects of $1,000 and under require payment upfront.

What’s your refund policy?

Any upfront payment required to book my time and begin working on your project is non-refundable.

I don’t have the budget to engage you. What options do I have?

If my services are just out of your price range there may be another fee structure we can use to happily work together. It depends on your business.

If my prices are well out of your budget, I’d suggest you teach yourself how to write better copy before hiring a cheap and nasty alternative. It will be an invaluable investment in your business.
